I first entered the Real Estate business in 1994 and specialized in the Crystal Beach and Destin markets. I listed and sold so many properties in Crystal Beach that I became known as “The Queen of Crystal Beach.” I fell in love with the area and like so many of my clients,’ I made it my home and purchased two other investment properties there. As time went by some of my clients began to show interest in other markets, Sandestin, Santa Rosa Beach, and the communities on 30A. I spent my free time riding my bike on 30A, driving around all the areas to have a good knowledge of what was available. I have always been a boat lover, so my husband and I have boated many miles looking at waterfront areas. We now live on Buck Bayou. It is important to know where large boats have access and sailboats must be able to get under bridges. Our bays and bayous can be tricky if you don’t know the waterways. There are so many enjoyable waterways from Destin to Panama City and it is much more fun to show them by boat.
I believe in “Guidance with a little Southern Hospitality…. I want my clients to be selective in choosing properties that will either become their vacation or permanent home. I want them to make affordable investments and not over extend themselves. I counsel my clients with facts and figures to back up what they are purchasing; and above all I obey the Golden Rule. There is no rush to purchase a vacation home so if it takes several years to find just the right home for you, I have the patience to help you.
As real estate has changed over my career, it has become necessary to change focus. In the beginning I became an expert on 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges, then a Pre-construction Specialist, a Second Home and Vacation Home Expert and lastly a certified Short Sale and Foreclosure Specialist. And I am ready to learn whatever else may come along. I like to work with all the different age groups and have become quite handy with modern technology. Some of my clients prefer the telephone, others like email, and my younger clients prefer to text. So text I do. I am willing to learn whatever a customer prefers.
In my spare time I love to garden, boat with family and friends and Plein Air paint our beautiful area.

Ashley has extensive experience in rental management and will be heading up the rental department. Whether it is a short term or a long term rental, you will be pleased with the personal service that Ashley provides. Her attention to detail, warm voice on the phone, and follow up will “exceed your expectations.” Our rental program can be specially tailored to your special needs. If you only want to rent during the summer and use your property the rest of the time, that is fine with us. If you want to do some of the rentals yourself, Ashley can coordinate a program for you. Originally we opened our rental program to assist our personal clients with whom we have a relationship. Diane Scholz first invested in property along the Forgotten Coast in 1992 while still living overseas with her now retired military husband. At retirement in 1997, she and her husband, Russ, moved to Port St. Joe where she first began her Real Estate career as a licensed Florida Real Estate Sales Associate. She has since obtained her Brokers License and earned the GRI designation. She specializes in primary residences and investment properties along the coast, as well as inland properties along rivers and lakes.
